Summer Reading for Adults

Read Beyond the Beaten Path
Why let the kids have all the fun?! Make the time to enjoy some reading this summer as well, and sign up for the Jones Library's adult summer reading program. With a theme of "Read Beyond the Beaten Path", Amherst residents are invited to set aside some time this summer to relax with a book, and dare to explore all the things that libraries have to offer, whether it's reading materials, movies and music, or our many online offerings.  Try something new!

How does it work?

  • Register to participate at the Jones Library reference desk beginning on Saturday, June 18th  and pick up a reading log to track the books you read through the summer.  (Audiobooks count too!)
  • Read or listen to at least 3 books, and complete a book review form.
  • After August 1, return the log and book review to the Jones Library reference desk and claim your prize (a $5 gift card to GoBerry 'n Cream or Amherst Coffee).  One gift card per participant.
  • To enter the drawing for the summer reading program grand prize, return your book log and book review by Saturday, August 27 - you could be chosen to win one of three $50 gift cards for Amherst Books.

The drawing for the grand prize will be held on Tuesday, August 30.
