Summer Reading for Adults

Find Your Voice header

Why let the kids have all the fun?! Make the time to enjoy some reading this summer as well, and sign up for the Jones Library's adult summer reading program. With a theme of "Find Your Voice", Amherst residents are invited to set aside some time this summer to relax with a book, and find your voice with the inspiration of all the things that libraries have to offer, whether it's reading materials, movies and music, or our many online offerings.  Try something new!

How does it work?

  • Register to participate at the Jones Library reference desk or at a registration kiosk at the Jones Library or at our branches beginning on Saturday, June 17, and pick up a reading packet at the service desk to track the books you read through the summer.  (Audiobooks count too!)
  • Read or listen to at least 3 books, and complete a book review form.
  • After August 1, return the log and book review to the Jones Library reference desk or at the branches to claim your prize (a $5 gift card to GoBerry 'n Cream or Amherst Coffee).  One gift card per participant.
  • To enter the drawing for the summer reading program grand prize, return your book log and book review by Friday, August 25 - you could be chosen to win one of three $50 gift cards for Amherst Books.

The drawing for the grand prize will be held on Saturday, August 26.

If you have questions, please contact the Reference Desk at 413-259-3096 or reference@joneslibrary.org.
