How do I use a hotspot?

You can view hotspot user manuals (by hotspot type) here: Franklin T9 (PDF), Franklin T10 (PDF), JeXstream (PDF), or Alcatel Linkzone (PDF).

  1. Turn on the hotspot by pressing and holding the Power button for 3 seconds. (If the device does not turn on, you may need to charge the hotspot using the included cable.)
  2. Wait about 30 seconds for the hotspot to turn on and start up.
  3. Go to Wi-Fi settings on your device.
  4. Select the network: Amherst Hotspot
  5. Enter the password (which is listed on the hotspot or on its case)

If the hotspot’s battery runs low, you can plug it into a wall outlet using the included cable. It may take 3 to 4 hours for the battery to fully charge, but it can be used while it is charging.
