Alice Whitley, publishing assistant, receives a most unusual assignment from her boss: Go and join a reclusive literary legend in her Bel Air mansion and ensure she gets her first novel in decades written on schedule. That job includes caring for the author's nine-year-old son, Frank, an eccentric genius who dresses in the style of the 1930s movie stars he adores.
