For those who enjoyed Strout’s My Name Is Lucy Barton, this collection of short stories takes us back to Lucy’s hometown in Illinois, and the people who knew her there. Characters in these interconnected stories appear in main and supporting roles throughout the book, creating a landscape of the place and the community that was the crucible for Lucy Barton. Lucy herself makes a guest appearance in one of the stories!
