Station Eleven

Station Eleven

by Emily St. John Mandel

Reviewed by Linda:
Outstanding writing is the hallmark of this bestseller about the lives of people before, during, and after a plague wipes out much of human life on earth, and the remaining humans live in tight communities without the benefit of technology. In particular we meet the members of a travelling orchestra/Shakespeare theater troupe who go from town to town performing. We see the individuals’ very different lives prior to the pandemic, and how they are adjusting to their new lives. There are surprising connections among them, including one involving a dangerous cult leader, that slowly become apparent. Fantastic audiobook!
