About the Burnett Gallery

Burnett LogoThe Burnett Gallery, located on the second floor of the Jones Library, has monthly exhibits displaying the work of local artists. The purpose of the Burnett Gallery is to provide a place where community artists and crafts people can show their work, particularly those without the reputation or resources which would enable them to exhibit at museums or commercial galleries. Collectively, the library's exhibits aim to reflect a variety of media, styles, cultural viewpoints, and levels of artistic experience.

During the library's pandemic closure, we ceased in-person exhibits and began offering virtual exhibits on the library's website. Beginning in September 2022 and running though June 2023, we are resuming in-person exhibits in the physical gallery — in addition to our ongoing virtual exhibits. The in-person exhibits will present the work of artists who were originally scheduled to exhibit in 2020 and 2021.
