Jones Library on second floor of Amherst House in 1924

The Jones Library leased space for its operations on the second floor of the Amherst House from September 1921 to December 1926. On December 9, 1926, the building caught fire and was burned to the ground. Amherst College students formed a line and transported many library materials to safety.
