    Annual Fund Drive Is Under Way!

    The Jones, Munson and North Amherst Libraries ask for your financial support. The Library Board needs to raise $85,000 to support our collections, services, and facilities. Please give generously to support the town library!

    Be sure to visit the library from February 4th - 14th to place your bid on one of the gift baskets that will be on display in the courtyard area. "Buy It Now Night" is February 9 from 6:30 to 8 pm - pay full retail value and take it home with you!

    ESL Tutor Training

    Teach English to a new American! The Jones Library ESL program needs tutors to work with adult immigrants twice a week for at least 9 months. Required tutor training sessions to be held Tuesday evenings in February from 6:30 - 9 pm. Call 413.259.3093 for more information.

    Writing New England Mysteries, Long and Short

    Come hear mystery authors Sheila Connolly, Kate Flora, and Barbara Ross on Sunday, February 5 at 2 pm in the Large Meeting Room. The event starts with a check presentation to the Jones Library from Sisters in Crime! Books will be available for purchase and signing.

    Children's Music Series

    The 35th annual music series for children ages 3-10 will be held on Saturday mornings from February 11 through March 10 - click the link above for more information. Admission is free due to the generosity of the Friends of the Jones Library System and the Amherst Cultural Council.

    Travel Writing in America

    Join us on Saturday, February 4 from 2 - 4 pm to hear from Max Grinnell, urbanologist, traveler, explorer, and writer. He'll talk about his recent experiences traveling in the United States, and take an entertaining look at the history of American travel writing.

    Tax Form Distribution

    Tax forms are now available in the front hall, as in years past. Most major forms are available. If the form you need is not available here, please click on the link above to connect to the IRS and State web pages in order to download and print forms.

    jubliat/Jones Reading Series

    Join us as the poetry series continues on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Hear readings by poets Aracelis Girmay, Zach Savich, & Evie Shockley. The reading will take place in the Trustees Room and an informal Q&A session will follow each reading.
