On October 24, 2009, the Jones Library will be dedicated as a Robert Frost Literary Landmark. This designation is being awarded by the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations, whose mission includes establishing locations of historical literary significance around the country as Literary Landmarks.

Lecture by William Pritchard (Henry Clay Folger Professor of English at Amherst College, Frost biographer, and frequent contributor to New York Times Book Review)
This event is being held 50 years to the day after the original dedication of the Frost Room at the Jones Library during Amherst's 200th anniversary activities.

Literary Landmark Dedication
The Library's bronze Literary Landmark plaque will be unveiled in honor of Frost's personal connection with the Jones and its Frost Collection. Ceremony participants include Lesley Francis, Robert Frost's Granddaughter, who will read one of Frost's poems.

Frost Readers' Theater with Amherst Young People
Amherst Young People, directed by Children's Librarian, Sondra Radosh, will deliver well-loved poems by Frost, with harp accompaniment.
