You can learn to speak and read English at the Jones Library. You can also learn citizenship and GED. We have books, tapes, computer programs, and tutors to help you learn what you want to know. If you would like to study in a class, we can tell you where there are classes nearby. Any adult immigrant can ask for a tutor at the Jones Library. If you are a foreign student or visitor to the U.S. we can give you information on other programs that can help you.

- Parent Partners: If you have a son or daughter at Amherst High School, the ESL
Center can get you a "parent partner" to help you understand what's going on at the school, check on your child's progress,
and participate in events at the school. If you want, we will try to find a "parent partner" who speaks your language.
