From the South
- Take I-91N to exit 19, which is Rt. 9 to Hadley and Amherst.
- Turn right off the ramp which is Rt. 9 East towards Hadley and go through Hadley to Amherst center - the ninth stop light is Amherst center, you will see Amherst Common across from this light.
- Turn left at the Common and go to the next stoplight. You will see a Bank of America on one corner, BankNorth opposite, a Subway and a parking lot on the other two corners.
- Turn left at this light onto Amity Street - the Library is a large stone building, which is the second building on the right next to BankNorth.
From the North
- Take I-91S to exit 25, which is Rt. 116. Turn left off of the ramp and right at the traffic light onto 116S.
- Follow 116S to Hadley. Turn left onto Rt. 9 East and go to Amherst center - the third traffic light.
- At this light you will see Amherst Common. Turn left and go to the next light.
- Turn left at the next light. The Library is a large stone building, which is the second building on the right on Amity Street. It is next to BankNorth.
From the East
- Take Mass Pike to Rt. 91 North.
- Take Exit 19 to Rt. 9 East to Hadley and Amherst.
- Turn right off the ramp which is Rt. 9 East towards Hadley and go through Hadley to Amherst center - the ninth stop light is Amherst center, you will see Amherst Common across from this light.
- Turn left at the Common and go to the next stoplight. You will see a Bank of America on one corner, BankNorth opposite, a Subway and a parking lot on the other two corners.
- Turn left at this light onto Amity Street - the Library is a large stone building, which is the second building on the right next to BankNorth.
- Or from the Northeast, take Rt. 2 West to the Amherst-Belchertown exit taking Rt. 202 South.
- Stay on Rt. 202 until you come to a blinking yellow light in Pelham (there is also one in New Salem Center), at a right turn with a sign to Amherst Center.
- Follow this road through two stop light intersections and into Amherst Center. This becomes Main Street after the first of these two stop lights.
- At the third stop light, which is in Amherst Center, go across the intersection. There are two large banks on both of the corners. The Jones Library is a large, stone building on the right, the second building on Amity Street.
From the West
- Follow directions from the South or the North.
