Digital Catalog from OverDrive - (requires C/W MARS Library card to access books)
- Books: Bestsellers and classics, fiction and non-fiction are included in this collection. You'll find books from popular authors and leading publishers such as HarperCollins, McGraw-Hill, Zondervan, and John Wiley and Sons. There are two kinds of digital books: Audio, which can be downloaded to PCs and then burned to CDs or transferred to a portable digital audio device; and Ebooks, which can be downloaded to PCs, Macs, PDAs, PalmOS, PocketPCs, or Smartphones. NEW - Audiobooks can now be downloaded and enjoyed on Macs. The built-in Burn Wizard can be used to burn MP3 Audiobooks to CD, and the Transfer Wizard allows quick and easy transfer to Apple® devices.
New users should read the instructions listed under "Click here to get started with the Digital Catalog!" on the Digital Books site. - Videos: New from OverDrive, this collection includes mostly travel, educational and children's titles. These titles are digitally-protected videos that have been optimized for download. They are built using the Microsoft® Windows Media Video format which enhances the quality for desktop viewing and portable device use.
Thanks to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Boston Public Library, patrons of Massachusetts libraries have access to a collection of electronic books that you read on your computer. The entire book is provided cover-to-cover, including tables and illustrations. The collection contains 7,000 books, including classics, such as Hamlet, Pride and Prejudice, Red Badge of Courage, Antigone, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Also included are recently published books in the following categories:
